בִּ/שְׁנַ֣תבִּ/שְׁנַ֣ת שָׁל֔וֹשׁשָׁל֔וֹשׁ לְ/מַלְכ֖וּתלְ/מַלְכ֖וּת בֵּלְאשַׁצַּ֣רבֵּלְאשַׁצַּ֣ר הַ/מֶּ֑לֶךְהַ/מֶּ֑לֶךְ חָז֞וֹןחָז֞וֹן נִרְאָ֤הנִרְאָ֤ה אֵלַ/י֙אֵלַ/י֙ אֲנִ֣יאֲנִ֣י דָנִיֵּ֔אלדָנִיֵּ֔אל אַחֲרֵ֛יאַחֲרֵ֛י הַ/נִּרְאָ֥ההַ/נִּרְאָ֥ה אֵלַ֖/יאֵלַ֖/י בַּ/תְּחִלָּֽהבַּ/תְּחִלָּֽה
<숫양과 숫염소의 환상>나 다니엘에게 처음에 나타난 환상 후 벨사살 왕 제삼년에 다시 한 환상이 나타나니라
During the third year of King Belshazzar's reign, I, Daniel, saw another vision, following the one that had already appeared to me.

וָֽ/אֶרְאֶה֮וָֽ/אֶרְאֶה֮ בֶּ/חָזוֹן֒בֶּ/חָזוֹן֒ וַ/יְהִי֙וַ/יְהִי֙ בִּ/רְאֹתִ֔/יבִּ/רְאֹתִ֔/י וַ/אֲנִי֙וַ/אֲנִי֙ בְּ/שׁוּשַׁ֣ןבְּ/שׁוּשַׁ֣ן הַ/בִּירָ֔ההַ/בִּירָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֖ראֲשֶׁ֖ר בְּ/עֵילָ֣םבְּ/עֵילָ֣ם הַ/מְּדִינָ֑ההַ/מְּדִינָ֑ה וָ/אֶרְאֶה֙וָ/אֶרְאֶה֙ בֶּֽ/חָז֔וֹןבֶּֽ/חָז֔וֹן וַ/אֲנִ֥יוַ/אֲנִ֥י הָיִ֖יתִיהָיִ֖יתִי עַלעַל אוּבַ֥לאוּבַ֥ל אוּלָֽיאוּלָֽי
내가 환상을 보았는데 내가 그것을 볼 때에 내 몸은 엘람 지방 수산 성에 있었고 내가 환상을 보기는 을래 강변에서이니라
This time I was at the fortress of Susa, in the province of Elam, standing beside the Ulai River.

וָ/אֶשָּׂ֤אוָ/אֶשָּׂ֤א עֵינַ/י֙עֵינַ/י֙ וָ/אֶרְאֶ֔הוָ/אֶרְאֶ֔ה וְ/הִנֵּ֣הוְ/הִנֵּ֣ה אַ֣יִלאַ֣יִל אֶחָ֗דאֶחָ֗ד עֹמֵ֛דעֹמֵ֛ד לִ/פְנֵ֥ילִ/פְנֵ֥י הָ/אֻבָ֖להָ/אֻבָ֖ל וְ/ל֣/וֹוְ/ל֣/וֹ קְרָנָ֑יִםקְרָנָ֑יִם וְ/הַ/קְּרָנַ֣יִםוְ/הַ/קְּרָנַ֣יִם גְּבֹה֗וֹתגְּבֹה֗וֹת וְ/הָ/אַחַת֙וְ/הָ/אַחַת֙ גְּבֹהָ֣הגְּבֹהָ֣ה מִןמִן הַ/שֵּׁנִ֔יתהַ/שֵּׁנִ֔ית וְ/הַ֨/גְּבֹהָ֔הוְ/הַ֨/גְּבֹהָ֔ה עֹלָ֖העֹלָ֖ה בָּ/אַחֲרֹנָֽהבָּ/אַחֲרֹנָֽה
내가 눈을 들어본즉 강가에 두 뿔 가진 숫양이 섰는데 그 두 뿔이 다 길었으며 그 중 한 뿔은 다른 뿔보다 길었고 그 긴 것은 나중에 난 것이더라
As I looked up, I saw in front of me a ram with two long horns standing beside the river. One of the horns was longer than the other, even though it had begun to grow later than the shorter one.

רָאִ֣יתִירָאִ֣יתִי אֶתאֶת הָ/אַ֡יִלהָ/אַ֡יִל מְנַגֵּחַ֩מְנַגֵּחַ֩ יָ֨מָּ/היָ֨מָּ/ה וְ/צָפ֜וֹנָ/הוְ/צָפ֜וֹנָ/ה וָ/נֶ֗גְבָּ/הוָ/נֶ֗גְבָּ/ה וְ/כָלוְ/כָל חַיּוֹת֙חַיּוֹת֙ לֹֽאלֹֽא יַֽעַמְד֣וּיַֽעַמְד֣וּ לְ/פָנָ֔י/ולְ/פָנָ֔י/ו וְ/אֵ֥יןוְ/אֵ֥ין מַצִּ֖ילמַצִּ֖יל מִ/יָּד֑/וֹמִ/יָּד֑/וֹ וְ/עָשָׂ֥הוְ/עָשָׂ֥ה כִ/רְצֹנ֖/וֹכִ/רְצֹנ֖/וֹ וְ/הִגְדִּֽילוְ/הִגְדִּֽיל
내가 본즉 그 숫양이 서쪽과 북쪽과 남쪽을 향하여 받으나 그것을 당할 짐승이 하나도 없고 그 손에서 구할 자가 없으므로 그것이 원하는 대로 행하고 강하여졌더라
The ram butted everything out of its way to the west, to the north, and to the south, and no one could stand against it or help its victims. It did as it pleased and became very great.

וַ/אֲנִ֣יוַ/אֲנִ֣י הָיִ֣יתִיהָיִ֣יתִי מֵבִ֗יןמֵבִ֗ין וְ/הִנֵּ֤הוְ/הִנֵּ֤ה צְפִירצְפִיר הָֽ/עִזִּים֙הָֽ/עִזִּים֙ בָּ֤אבָּ֤א מִןמִן הַֽ/מַּעֲרָב֙הַֽ/מַּעֲרָב֙ עַלעַל פְּנֵ֣יפְּנֵ֣י כָלכָל הָ/אָ֔רֶץהָ/אָ֔רֶץ וְ/אֵ֥יןוְ/אֵ֥ין נוֹגֵ֖עַנוֹגֵ֖עַ בָּ/אָ֑רֶץבָּ/אָ֑רֶץ וְ/הַ֨/צָּפִ֔ירוְ/הַ֨/צָּפִ֔יר קֶ֥רֶןקֶ֥רֶן חָז֖וּתחָז֖וּת בֵּ֥יןבֵּ֥ין עֵינָֽי/ועֵינָֽי/ו
내가 생각할 때에 한 숫염소가 서쪽에서부터 와서 온 지면에 두루 다니되 땅에 닿지 아니하며 그 염소의 두 눈 사이에는 현저한 뿔이 있더라
While I was watching, suddenly a male goat appeared from the west, crossing the land so swiftly that it didn't even touch the ground. This goat, which had one very large horn between its eyes,

וַ/יָּבֹ֗אוַ/יָּבֹ֗א עַדעַד הָ/אַ֨יִל֙הָ/אַ֨יִל֙ בַּ֣עַלבַּ֣עַל הַ/קְּרָנַ֔יִםהַ/קְּרָנַ֔יִם אֲשֶׁ֣ראֲשֶׁ֣ר רָאִ֔יתִירָאִ֔יתִי עֹמֵ֖דעֹמֵ֖ד לִ/פְנֵ֣ילִ/פְנֵ֣י הָ/אֻבָ֑להָ/אֻבָ֑ל וַ/יָּ֥רָץוַ/יָּ֥רָץ אֵלָ֖י/ואֵלָ֖י/ו בַּ/חֲמַ֥תבַּ/חֲמַ֥ת כֹּחֽ/וֹכֹּחֽ/וֹ
그것이 두 뿔 가진 숫양 곧 내가 본 바 강가에 섰던 양에게로 나아가되 분노한 힘으로 그것에게로 달려가더니
headed toward the two-horned ram that I had seen standing beside the river.

וּ/רְאִיתִ֞י/ווּ/רְאִיתִ֞י/ו מַגִּ֣יעַמַגִּ֣יעַ אֵ֣צֶלאֵ֣צֶל הָ/אַ֗יִלהָ/אַ֗יִל וַ/יִּתְמַרְמַ֤רוַ/יִּתְמַרְמַ֤ר אֵלָי/ו֙אֵלָי/ו֙ וַ/יַּ֣ךְוַ/יַּ֣ךְ אֶתאֶת הָ/אַ֔יִלהָ/אַ֔יִל וַ/יְשַׁבֵּר֙וַ/יְשַׁבֵּר֙ שְׁתֵּ֣ישְׁתֵּ֣י קְרָנָ֔י/וקְרָנָ֔י/ו וְ/לֹאוְ/לֹא הָ֥יָההָ֥יָה כֹ֛חַכֹ֛חַ בָּ/אַ֖יִלבָּ/אַ֖יִל לַ/עֲמֹ֣דלַ/עֲמֹ֣ד לְ/פָנָ֑י/ולְ/פָנָ֑י/ו וַ/יַּשְׁלִיכֵ֤/הוּוַ/יַּשְׁלִיכֵ֤/הוּ אַ֨רְצָ/ה֙אַ֨רְצָ/ה֙ וַֽ/יִּרְמְסֵ֔/הוּוַֽ/יִּרְמְסֵ֔/הוּ הָיָ֥ההָיָ֥ה מַצִּ֛ילמַצִּ֛יל לָ/אַ֖יִללָ/אַ֖יִל מִ/יָּדֽ/וֹמִ/יָּדֽ/וֹ
내가 본즉 그것이 숫양에게로 가까이 나아가서는 더욱 성내어 그 숫양을 쳐서 그 두 뿔을 꺾으나 숫양에게는 그것을 대적할 힘이 없으므로 그것이 숫양을 땅에 엎드러뜨리고 짓밟았으나 숫양을 그 손에서 벗어나게 할 자가 없었더라
The goat charged furiously at the ram and struck it, breaking off both its horns. Now the ram was helpless, and the goat knocked it down and trampled it. There was no one who could rescue the ram from the goat's power.

וּ/צְפִ֥ירוּ/צְפִ֥יר הָ/עִזִּ֖יםהָ/עִזִּ֖ים הִגְדִּ֣ילהִגְדִּ֣יל עַדעַד מְאֹ֑דמְאֹ֑ד וּ/כְ/עָצְמ֗/וֹוּ/כְ/עָצְמ֗/וֹ נִשְׁבְּרָה֙נִשְׁבְּרָה֙ הַ/קֶּ֣רֶןהַ/קֶּ֣רֶן הַ/גְּדוֹלָ֔ההַ/גְּדוֹלָ֔ה וַֽ/תַּעֲלֶ֜נָהוַֽ/תַּעֲלֶ֜נָה חָז֤וּתחָז֤וּת אַרְבַּע֙אַרְבַּע֙ תַּחְתֶּ֔י/הָתַּחְתֶּ֔י/הָ לְ/אַרְבַּ֖עלְ/אַרְבַּ֖ע רוּח֥וֹתרוּח֥וֹת הַ/שָּׁמָֽיִםהַ/שָּׁמָֽיִם
숫염소가 스스로 심히 강대하여 가더니 강성할 때에 그 큰 뿔이 꺾이고 그 대신에 현저한 뿔 넷이 하늘 사방을 향하여 났더라
The goat became very powerful. But at the height of its power, its large horn was broken off. In the large horn's place grew four prominent horns pointing in the four directions of the earth.
9
וּ/מִןוּ/מִן הָ/אַחַ֣תהָ/אַחַ֣ת מֵ/הֶ֔םמֵ/הֶ֔ם יָצָ֥איָצָ֥א קֶֽרֶןקֶֽרֶן אַחַ֖תאַחַ֖ת מִ/צְּעִירָ֑המִ/צְּעִירָ֑ה וַ/תִּגְדַּלוַ/תִּגְדַּל יֶ֛תֶריֶ֛תֶר אֶלאֶל הַ/נֶּ֥גֶבהַ/נֶּ֥גֶב וְ/אֶלוְ/אֶל הַ/מִּזְרָ֖חהַ/מִּזְרָ֖ח הַ/צֶּֽבִיהַ/צֶּֽבִי
그 중 한 뿔에서 또 작은 뿔 하나가 나서 남쪽과 동쪽과 또 영화로운 땅을 향하여 심히 커지더니
From one of the prominent horns came a small horn whose power grew very great. It extended toward the south and the east and toward the glorious land of Israel.
10
וַ/תִּגְדַּ֖לוַ/תִּגְדַּ֖ל עַדעַד צְבָ֣אצְבָ֣א הַ/שָּׁמָ֑יִםהַ/שָּׁמָ֑יִם וַ/תַּפֵּ֥לוַ/תַּפֵּ֥ל אַ֛רְצָ/האַ֛רְצָ/ה מִןמִן הַ/צָּבָ֥אהַ/צָּבָ֥א וּ/מִןוּ/מִן הַ/כּוֹכָבִ֖יםהַ/כּוֹכָבִ֖ים וַֽ/תִּרְמְסֵֽ/םוַֽ/תִּרְמְסֵֽ/ם
그것이 하늘 군대에 미칠 만큼 커져서 그 군대와 별들 중의 몇을 땅에 떨어뜨리고 그것들을 짓밟고
His power reached to the heavens where it attacked the heavenly armies, throwing some of the heavenly beings and stars to the ground and trampling them.
11
וְ/עַ֥דוְ/עַ֥ד שַֽׂרשַֽׂר הַ/צָּבָ֖אהַ/צָּבָ֖א הִגְדִּ֑ילהִגְדִּ֑יל וּ/מִמֶּ֨/נּוּ֙וּ/מִמֶּ֨/נּוּ֙ הריםהרים הַ/תָּמִ֔ידהַ/תָּמִ֔יד וְ/הֻשְׁלַ֖ךְוְ/הֻשְׁלַ֖ךְ מְכ֥וֹןמְכ֥וֹן מִקְדָּשֽׁ/וֹמִקְדָּשֽׁ/וֹ
또 스스로 높아져서 군대의 주재를 대적하며 그에게 매일 드리는 제사를 없애 버렸고 그의 성소를 헐었으며
He even challenged the Commander of heaven's armies by canceling the daily sacrifices offered to him and by destroying his Temple.
12
וְ/צָבָ֛אוְ/צָבָ֛א תִּנָּתֵ֥ןתִּנָּתֵ֥ן עַלעַל הַ/תָּמִ֖ידהַ/תָּמִ֖יד בְּ/פָ֑שַׁעבְּ/פָ֑שַׁע וְ/תַשְׁלֵ֤ךְוְ/תַשְׁלֵ֤ךְ אֱמֶת֙אֱמֶת֙ אַ֔רְצָ/האַ֔רְצָ/ה וְ/עָשְׂתָ֖הוְ/עָשְׂתָ֖ה וְ/הִצְלִֽיחָהוְ/הִצְלִֽיחָה
그의 악으로 말미암아 백성이 매일 드리는 제사가 넘긴 바 되었고 그것이 또 진리를 땅에 던지며 자의로 행하여 형통하였더라
But the army of heaven was restrained from destroying him for this sin. As a result, sacrilege was committed against the Temple ceremonies, and truth was overthrown. The horn succeeded in everything it did.

וָ/אֶשְׁמְעָ֥/הוָ/אֶשְׁמְעָ֥/ה אֶֽחָדאֶֽחָד קָד֖וֹשׁקָד֖וֹשׁ מְדַבֵּ֑רמְדַבֵּ֑ר וַ/יֹּאמֶר֩וַ/יֹּאמֶר֩ אֶחָ֨דאֶחָ֨ד קָד֜וֹשׁקָד֜וֹשׁ לַ/פַּֽלְמוֹנִ֣ילַ/פַּֽלְמוֹנִ֣י הַֽ/מְדַבֵּ֗רהַֽ/מְדַבֵּ֗ר עַדעַד מָתַ֞ימָתַ֞י הֶ/חָז֤וֹןהֶ/חָז֤וֹן הַ/תָּמִיד֙הַ/תָּמִיד֙ וְ/הַ/פֶּ֣שַׁעוְ/הַ/פֶּ֣שַׁע שֹׁמֵ֔םשֹׁמֵ֔ם תֵּ֛תתֵּ֛ת וְ/קֹ֥דֶשׁוְ/קֹ֥דֶשׁ וְ/צָבָ֖אוְ/צָבָ֖א מִרְמָֽסמִרְמָֽס
내가 들은즉 한 거룩한 이가 말하더니 다른 거룩한 이가 그 말하는 이에게 묻되 환상에 나타난 바 매일 드리는 제사와 망하게 하는 죄악에 대한 일과 성소와 백성이 내준 바 되며 짓밟힐 일이 어느 때까지 이를꼬 하매
Then I heard two of the holy ones talking to each other. One of them said, "How long will the events of this vision last? How long will the rebellion that causes desecration stop the daily sacrifices? How long will the Temple and heaven's armies be trampled on?"
14
וַ/יֹּ֣אמֶרוַ/יֹּ֣אמֶר אֵלַ֔/יאֵלַ֔/י עַ֚דעַ֚ד עֶ֣רֶבעֶ֣רֶב בֹּ֔קֶרבֹּ֔קֶר אַלְפַּ֖יִםאַלְפַּ֖יִם וּ/שְׁלֹ֣שׁוּ/שְׁלֹ֣שׁ מֵא֑וֹתמֵא֑וֹת וְ/נִצְדַּ֖קוְ/נִצְדַּ֖ק קֹֽדֶשׁקֹֽדֶשׁ
그가 내게 이르되 이천삼백 주야까지니 그 때에 성소가 정결하게 되리라 하였느니라
The other replied, "It will take twenty-three hundred evenings and mornings; then the Temple will be restored."
15
וַ/יְהִ֗יוַ/יְהִ֗י בִּ/רְאֹתִ֛/יבִּ/רְאֹתִ֛/י אֲנִ֥יאֲנִ֥י דָנִיֵּ֖אלדָנִיֵּ֖אל אֶתאֶת הֶ/חָז֑וֹןהֶ/חָז֑וֹן וָ/אֲבַקְשָׁ֣/הוָ/אֲבַקְשָׁ֣/ה בִינָ֔הבִינָ֔ה וְ/הִנֵּ֛הוְ/הִנֵּ֛ה עֹמֵ֥דעֹמֵ֥ד לְ/נֶגְדִּ֖/ילְ/נֶגְדִּ֖/י כְּ/מַרְאֵהכְּ/מַרְאֵה גָֽבֶרגָֽבֶר
<가브리엘 천사가 환상을 풀이하다>나 다니엘이 이 환상을 보고 그 뜻을 알고자 할 때에 사람 모양 같은 것이 내 앞에 섰고 16 내가 들은즉 을래 강 두 언덕 사이에서 사람의 목소리가 있어 외쳐 이르되 가브리엘아 이 환상을 이 사람에게 깨닫게 하라 하더니
As I, Daniel, was trying to understand the meaning of this vision, someone who looked like a man suddenly stood in front of me.

וָ/אֶשְׁמַ֥עוָ/אֶשְׁמַ֥ע קוֹלקוֹל אָדָ֖םאָדָ֖ם בֵּ֣יןבֵּ֣ין אוּלָ֑יאוּלָ֑י וַ/יִּקְרָא֙וַ/יִּקְרָא֙ וַ/יֹּאמַ֔רוַ/יֹּאמַ֔ר גַּבְרִיאֵ֕לגַּבְרִיאֵ֕ל הָבֵ֥ןהָבֵ֥ן לְ/הַלָּ֖זלְ/הַלָּ֖ז אֶתאֶת הַ/מַּרְאֶֽההַ/מַּרְאֶֽה
And I heard a human voice calling out from the Ulai River, "Gabriel, tell this man the meaning of his vision."
17
וַ/יָּבֹא֙וַ/יָּבֹא֙ אֵ֣צֶלאֵ֣צֶל עָמְדִ֔/יעָמְדִ֔/י וּ/בְ/בֹא֣/וֹוּ/בְ/בֹא֣/וֹ נִבְעַ֔תִּינִבְעַ֔תִּי וָ/אֶפְּלָ֖/הוָ/אֶפְּלָ֖/ה עַלעַל פָּנָ֑/יפָּנָ֑/י וַ/יֹּ֤אמֶרוַ/יֹּ֤אמֶר אֵלַ/י֙אֵלַ/י֙ הָבֵ֣ןהָבֵ֣ן בֶּןבֶּן אָדָ֔םאָדָ֔ם כִּ֖יכִּ֖י לְ/עֶתלְ/עֶת קֵ֥ץקֵ֥ץ הֶ/חָזֽוֹןהֶ/חָזֽוֹן
그가 내가 선 곳으로 나왔는데 그가 나올 때에 내가 두려워서 얼굴을 땅에 대고 엎드리매 그가 내게 이르되 인자야 깨달아 알라 이 환상은 정한 때 끝에 관한 것이니라
As Gabriel approached the place where I was standing, I became so terrified that I fell to the ground. "Son of man," he said, "you must understand that the events you have seen in your vision relate to the time of the end."
18
וּ/בְ/דַבְּר֣/וֹוּ/בְ/דַבְּר֣/וֹ עִמִּ֔/יעִמִּ֔/י נִרְדַּ֥מְתִּינִרְדַּ֥מְתִּי עַלעַל פָּנַ֖/יפָּנַ֖/י אָ֑רְצָ/האָ֑רְצָ/ה וַ/יִּ֨גַּעוַ/יִּ֨גַּע בִּ֔/יבִּ֔/י וַ/יַּֽעֲמִידֵ֖/נִיוַ/יַּֽעֲמִידֵ֖/נִי עָמְדִֽ/יעָמְדִֽ/י
그가 내게 말할 때에 내가 얼굴을 땅에 대고 엎드리어 깊이 잠들매 그가 나를 어루만져서 일으켜 세우며
While he was speaking, I fainted and lay there with my face to the ground. But Gabriel roused me with a touch and helped me to my feet.
19
וַ/יֹּ֨אמֶר֙וַ/יֹּ֨אמֶר֙ הִנְ/נִ֣יהִנְ/נִ֣י מוֹדִֽיעֲ/ךָ֔מוֹדִֽיעֲ/ךָ֔ אֵ֥תאֵ֥ת אֲשֶׁראֲשֶׁר יִהְיֶ֖היִהְיֶ֖ה בְּ/אַחֲרִ֣יתבְּ/אַחֲרִ֣ית הַ/זָּ֑עַםהַ/זָּ֑עַם כִּ֖יכִּ֖י לְ/מוֹעֵ֥דלְ/מוֹעֵ֥ד קֵֽץקֵֽץ
이르되 진노하시는 때가 마친 후에 될 일을 내가 네게 알게 하리니 이 환상은 정한 때 끝에 관한 것임이라
Then he said, "I am here to tell you what will happen later in the time of wrath. What you have seen pertains to the very end of time.

הָ/אַ֥יִלהָ/אַ֥יִל אֲשֶׁראֲשֶׁר רָאִ֖יתָרָאִ֖יתָ בַּ֣עַלבַּ֣עַל הַ/קְּרָנָ֑יִםהַ/קְּרָנָ֑יִם מַלְכֵ֖ימַלְכֵ֖י מָדַ֥ימָדַ֥י וּ/פָרָֽסוּ/פָרָֽס
네가 본 바 두 뿔 가진 숫양은 곧 메대와 바사 왕들이요
The two-horned ram represents the kings of Media and Persia.

וְ/הַ/צָּפִ֥ירוְ/הַ/צָּפִ֥יר הַ/שָּׂעִ֖ירהַ/שָּׂעִ֖יר מֶ֣לֶךְמֶ֣לֶךְ יָוָ֑ןיָוָ֑ן וְ/הַ/קֶּ֤רֶןוְ/הַ/קֶּ֤רֶן הַ/גְּדוֹלָה֙הַ/גְּדוֹלָה֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ראֲשֶׁ֣ר בֵּיןבֵּין עֵינָ֔י/ועֵינָ֔י/ו ה֖וּאה֖וּא הַ/מֶּ֥לֶךְהַ/מֶּ֥לֶךְ הָ/רִאשֽׁוֹןהָ/רִאשֽׁוֹן
털이 많은 숫염소는 곧 헬라 왕이요 그의 두 눈 사이에 있는 큰 뿔은 곧 그 첫째 왕이요
The shaggy male goat represents the king of Greece, and the large horn between its eyes represents the first king of the Greek Empire.

וְ/הַ֨/נִּשְׁבֶּ֔רֶתוְ/הַ֨/נִּשְׁבֶּ֔רֶת וַ/תַּֽעֲמֹ֥דְנָהוַ/תַּֽעֲמֹ֥דְנָה אַרְבַּ֖עאַרְבַּ֖ע תַּחְתֶּ֑י/הָתַּחְתֶּ֑י/הָ אַרְבַּ֧עאַרְבַּ֧ע מַלְכֻי֛וֹתמַלְכֻי֛וֹת מִ/גּ֥וֹימִ/גּ֥וֹי יַעֲמֹ֖דְנָהיַעֲמֹ֖דְנָה וְ/לֹ֥אוְ/לֹ֥א בְ/כֹחֽ/וֹבְ/כֹחֽ/וֹ
이 뿔이 꺾이고 그 대신에 네 뿔이 났은즉 그 나라 가운데에서 네 나라가 일어나되 그의 권세만 못하리라
The four prominent horns that replaced the one large horn show that the Greek Empire will break into four sections with four kings, none of them as great as the first.

וּֽ/בְ/אַחֲרִית֙וּֽ/בְ/אַחֲרִית֙ מַלְכוּתָ֔/םמַלְכוּתָ֔/ם כְּ/הָתֵ֖םכְּ/הָתֵ֖ם הַ/פֹּשְׁעִ֑יםהַ/פֹּשְׁעִ֑ים יַעֲמֹ֛דיַעֲמֹ֛ד מֶ֥לֶךְמֶ֥לֶךְ עַזעַז פָּנִ֖יםפָּנִ֖ים וּ/מֵבִ֥יןוּ/מֵבִ֥ין חִידֽוֹתחִידֽוֹת
이 네 나라 마지막 때에 반역자들이 가득할 즈음에 한 왕이 일어나리니 그 얼굴은 뻔뻔하며 속임수에 능하며
"At the end of their rule, when their sin is at its height, a fierce king, a master of intrigue, will rise to power.

וְ/עָצַ֤םוְ/עָצַ֤ם כֹּח/וֹ֙כֹּח/וֹ֙ וְ/לֹ֣אוְ/לֹ֣א בְ/כֹח֔/וֹבְ/כֹח֔/וֹ וְ/נִפְלָא֥וֹתוְ/נִפְלָא֥וֹת יַשְׁחִ֖יתיַשְׁחִ֖ית וְ/הִצְלִ֣יחַוְ/הִצְלִ֣יחַ וְ/עָשָׂ֑הוְ/עָשָׂ֑ה וְ/הִשְׁחִ֥יתוְ/הִשְׁחִ֥ית עֲצוּמִ֖יםעֲצוּמִ֖ים וְ/עַםוְ/עַם קְדֹשִֽׁיםקְדֹשִֽׁים
그 권세가 강할 것이나 자기의 힘으로 말미암은 것이 아니며 그가 장차 놀랍게 파괴 행위를 하고 자의로 행하여 형통하며 강한 자들과 거룩한 백성을 멸하리라
He will become very strong, but not by his own power. He will cause a shocking amount of destruction and succeed in everything he does. He will destroy powerful leaders and devastate the holy people.

וְ/עַלוְ/עַל שִׂכְל֗/וֹשִׂכְל֗/וֹ וְ/הִצְלִ֤יחַוְ/הִצְלִ֤יחַ מִרְמָה֙מִרְמָה֙ בְּ/יָד֔/וֹבְּ/יָד֔/וֹ וּ/בִ/לְבָב֣/וֹוּ/בִ/לְבָב֣/וֹ יַגְדִּ֔יליַגְדִּ֔יל וּ/בְ/שַׁלְוָ֖הוּ/בְ/שַׁלְוָ֖ה יַשְׁחִ֣יתיַשְׁחִ֣ית רַבִּ֑יםרַבִּ֑ים וְ/עַ֤לוְ/עַ֤ל שַׂרשַׂר שָׂרִים֙שָׂרִים֙ יַעֲמֹ֔דיַעֲמֹ֔ד וּ/בְ/אֶ֥פֶסוּ/בְ/אֶ֥פֶס יָ֖דיָ֖ד יִשָּׁבֵֽריִשָּׁבֵֽר
그가 꾀를 베풀어 제 손으로 속임수를 행하고 마음에 스스로 큰 체하며 또 평화로운 때 에 많은 무리를 멸하며 또 스스로 서서 만왕의 왕을 대적할 것이나 그가 사람의 손으로 말미암지 아니하고 깨지리라
He will be a master of deception, defeating many by catching them off guard. Without warning he will destroy them. He will even take on the Prince of princes in battle, but he will be broken, though not by human power.

וּ/מַרְאֵ֨הוּ/מַרְאֵ֨ה הָ/עֶ֧רֶבהָ/עֶ֧רֶב וְ/הַ/בֹּ֛קֶרוְ/הַ/בֹּ֛קֶר אֲשֶׁ֥ראֲשֶׁ֥ר נֶאֱמַ֖רנֶאֱמַ֖ר אֱמֶ֣תאֱמֶ֣ת ה֑וּאה֑וּא וְ/אַתָּה֙וְ/אַתָּה֙ סְתֹ֣םסְתֹ֣ם הֶֽ/חָז֔וֹןהֶֽ/חָז֔וֹן כִּ֖יכִּ֖י לְ/יָמִ֥יםלְ/יָמִ֥ים רַבִּֽיםרַבִּֽים
이미 말한 바 주야에 대한 환상은 확실하니 너는 그 환상을 간직하라 이는 여러 날 후의 일임이라 하더라
"This vision about the twenty-three hundred evenings and mornings is true. But none of these things will happen for a long time, so do not tell anyone about them yet."

וַ/אֲנִ֣יוַ/אֲנִ֣י דָנִיֵּ֗אלדָנִיֵּ֗אל נִהְיֵ֤יתִינִהְיֵ֤יתִי וְ/נֶֽחֱלֵ֨יתִי֙וְ/נֶֽחֱלֵ֨יתִי֙ יָמִ֔יםיָמִ֔ים וָ/אָק֕וּםוָ/אָק֕וּם וָ/אֶֽעֱשֶׂ֖הוָ/אֶֽעֱשֶׂ֖ה אֶתאֶת מְלֶ֣אכֶתמְלֶ֣אכֶת הַ/מֶּ֑לֶךְהַ/מֶּ֑לֶךְ וָ/אֶשְׁתּוֹמֵ֥םוָ/אֶשְׁתּוֹמֵ֥ם עַלעַל הַ/מַּרְאֶ֖ההַ/מַּרְאֶ֖ה וְ/אֵ֥יןוְ/אֵ֥ין מֵבִֽיןמֵבִֽין
이에 나 다니엘이 지쳐서 여러 날 앓다가 일어나서 왕의 일을 보았느니라 내가 그 환상으로 말미암아 놀랐고 그 뜻을 깨닫는 사람도 없었느니라
Then I, Daniel, was overcome and lay sick for several days. Afterward I got up and performed my duties for the king, but I was greatly troubled by the vision and could not understand it.
